Welcome to AZCARtraining.com, which is designed to support the D-ENG broadcast operations training provided by AZCAR as part of the Sprint Nextel BAS re-banding activity. The Distance Learning portion of the service is delivered by Ku Band satellite with wire-line audio return and Internet coordination.
This site supports that activity, providing access to the current training schedule and materials and links to relevant sites. It also provides a portal to ask additional question and receive answers as well as a FAQ and Recent Questions section, which we suggest you browse first as the answer you seek may already be there.
The program feed is carried on Galaxy 19, formerly called Galaxy 25 and IA-5 (Telstar 5) using the Ku band. The satellite is located at 97° west longitude.
The receive parameters for the program is as follows:
· The downlink frequency is 11778.700 MHz.
· The polarity is Horizontal.
· The symbol rate should be set to 3.978723.
· The FEC rate (Forward Error Correction rate) is 3/4.
· The data rate of the feed will be 5.5 Mbps so ensure if your receiver is set to receive a data rate of 5.5 Mbps if it does not detect the data rate automatically.
· The Carrier ID available to those receivers capable of detecting it to line up properly on the right downlink center frequency is 1736729.
We welcome feedback that will help us to improve our service and support during the transition to D-ENG.
The registration screen, which requires a callsign, company or "Guest" ID and "pop-ups allowed" to register, is to the right.
